RIP Great Grandad

Louie loved looking at his great grandad.  It is good that we have photos of the two of them together to treasure.  This one was taken in 2021. Great grandad, my precious Dad, died peacefully this morning in his care home.  I just missed him by about ten minutes but I was able to sit with him with one of my nephews while we accustomed ourselves to the idea that Dad had left us to be reunited with his beloved wife, Julie and daughter, Gill, and all the others who have gone before.  Farewell to my quietly determined, clever, practical, funny Dad who always wanted things to be done in the right way for the right reasons. Rest in Peace.
