Partly cloudy day. Warmer, around +15, weak western wind.

We were in our plot in the allotment for few hours. We had a man doing spring pruning of apple trees, and dig the two old rotten trunks out of the ground (Extra). At this age and in this state of health we don't do the pruning ourselves anymore. He was competent, very fluently and also neat. We were very pleased. Now we have two empty places to plant more fruit trees.

In our yard there have begun growing the next wilfd flowers, fumeworts (Corydalis solida). They emerge from the bare ground in early spring,  at about the same time when skylarks appear in the landscape in Finland. That's why its name in Finnish contains the word "kiuru" meaning skylark. The plant doesn't flower long and it wilts quickly after flowering and seed development. In Finland it grows mostly just in the southern parts. Because fumewort can spread into extensive and dense stands on a favorable growing medium, as it seems to do on our yard, we let every year only some of it flower and try to weed withered before seeding to keep it in check.
