A milestone

I’ve been learning Spanish on Duolingo for 100 days now. I sidelined my 40 years of French for a new challenge.
I can ask questions, order in a restaurant, say where people are from , and now I’m beginning to learn grammar! I can remember lots of the vocabulary: especially nouns but struggle with el/ la . For example la pregunta ending in a is feminine ( the question) but el problema ending in a is masculine ( the problem) .
I think I need a grammar book.
I’d also like to speak rudimentary Spanish with a real person but the u3a group here is intermediate.
