Flash Dance
This has certainly been the week for dancing. Today's experience had no connection with filming musicals, but nevertheless, was unexpectedly entertaining.
As I strolled through Multrees Walk at lunchtime, a young woman sprang to life, it seemed from nowhere, and began to dance to customers enjoying an open air coffee at Valvona Crollas. She danced to this and was quickly joined by more and more alleged pedestrians until a fairly large dance troup were in full swing amusing us all.
It was a great five minutes of lighthearted entertainment and a huge cheer went up when the troup broke up and disappeared into the crowds as quickly as they'd arrived.
Other news ... I spent a lovely evening at the Camera Club Annual Dinner and prize giving; a smashing start to the long weekend.
(Footnote: I've since made some enquiries about this and it turns seems it was the MGA Academy of Performing Arts who danced in several different venues around Edinburgh yesterday. Well done them.)
