Granny's Magic Mixer

Our last full day away. We baked a variation of Nigel Slater's Black Banana Bread ( without the chocolate or hazelnuts). E thought the food mixer was pretty ace as we don't have one at home and the cake although extremely moist was delicious. We tried to slow time down and appreciate every minute together. When Auntie Anna came home we focussed on giggles, play, tea time, bath time, hilarity and then stories and milk in a "spaceship". (Cardboard boxes are the most fun of course.) E was so excited and late to bed, I feared the worst but I needn't to have worried as she slept, without interruption from 9pm-9am.
