DAY 3 - BUDAPEST

Great to see the blue sky today we got back on the bus and made our way over the river to put the castle.
#Freedom bridge… the shortest bridge over the Danube and the first one to be repaired after WW2.
#we got the funicular up to the top of Buda Hill.
#There were amazing views overlooking Pest.
We walked the 20mins to The Fisherman’s Bastion. A very impressive decorative fortification.
#The Rev and I went to visit St Matthias church whilst the lads went for a coffee. The church was an interesting structure of colourful arches.
# Group photo at the top.
#O found a restaurant at the far end of the Buda hill we had a walk by rows of beautiful cherry blossom trees.
O had chosen a good restaurant (if a bit of the route). It was fully booked but the squeezed us in.
We were exhausted when we got back to the hotel.
#Later on we walked down to the Square and got some street food again my choice wasn’t the best.
#We then got our free river cruise included in the past to ticket. It was lovely to see the town city at night.
# on the way home J treated us to a traditional chimney cake filled with ice cream delicious.4/60
