Hard at Work

We are finally having the front fence redone after so many years of patching and trying not to notice the rotting boards. D is a remarkable workman who has helped us with other projects; he always seems to find a good workable solution to whatever comes his way. What started out as replacing two posts kind of stretched to four as he began to dismantle things. The old fence is close to fifty years old, and actually has held up rather well over all that time, but everything was just a bit too wiggly. We will have a good strong replacement and a newly designed gate, and it should all be in place by the beginning of next week.
