The Anne Rowling clinic
I'm still following the literature week theme, but with a twist today.
This is the front of the new Regenerative Neurology Clinic that opened in January in Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. It runs clinical trials and aims to improve well being of people with neurodegenerative disease.
It exists because J K Rowling, of Harry Potter fame, donated 10 million pounds to the University of Edinburgh towards establishing such a clinic, named after her mother who died because of MS.
Now this is what I call a real life 21st century philanthropy!
