Signs of a Party

It's party-time for road signs.
Some lamp-posts soon arrive.
The traffic-cones are slightly drunk.
And who knows where to drive
When diversion signs are tipsy
And chevrons point and sing
'Show me the way to go home'
While dancing in a ring?
Oh, the A1 is the place to be
For partying methinks,
And a colourful reception
As we visit Grantham, Lincs.

(We're not so much visiting Grantham, as visiting our daughter, who happens to live nearby.)
