Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2023 Sunday — Forever Friends

It’s the “goodbye” moment that’s always hard. We grab hands, step into the crosswalk, and the moments begin to settle into a memory on top of other memories we’ve just tickled.

Four friends who have been on the same ribbon of highway for almost 48 years . . . there’s so much to say, never enough time
. . . patching each other’s memories into stories we’ve lived
. . . to share how our kids are doing
. . . and how Queen Mom is doing (Karen’s mom’s nickname)
. . . four people who God has cradled and molded and loved into the people we have become.

One lunch moment fills our stomachs and whets our appetites to have more table fellowship in the future. That’s what happened on this Sunday afternoon, the Sunday after Easter. A very special day on our calendar.

Forty-eight years ago today Mr. Fun & I walked into the building on Rancho Road & Main Street for the first time to attend morning worship. God caught our attention that day and He continues to catch our attention. He did today as we enjoyed fellowship with Dick & Karen.
