Kent
I managed to have a check of the beehives today. Things seem to be going ok, although no honey production yet!
The weather was good enough for my butterfly transect and we saw some brimstone and an orange tip so that’s spring officially begun.
At the market last week I was chatting to Karen about embroidery and remembered that I used to do a little….and I have rediscovered this map of Kent that I started in 1991 when living there! We lived in Ruckinge, a little village that I see I have added to the map. Rob was managing the NNR Hamstreet Woods.
We moved to Cumbria the next year and I obviously had other things to occupy me. I am going to finish it as it’s rather pretty and will be a nice little memento.
