Wheatear

Started out at St Dogmaels farmers market, buying dressed crab, scones and lettuce leaves - all delicious - and mostly eaten by lunchtime! Then we headed to the ancient dolmen Llech y Drybedd (extra) which sits well against the backdrop of the Preselli Hills, before walking the section of the coastal path to the witches cauldron - more stunning scenery (second extra) and it’s along here that we see the wheatear. We take in the burial barrows at Crugiau Cemaes (rather disappointing, although there is a trig point which pleases one of our party)) before heading to Tresaith for photos on the rocks and a meal with our friends at The Ship, with my school friend Pat celebrating 60 years since she first visited. It’s been a day of glorious sunshine, with old friends, good food and fabulous scenics, much to be grateful for
