Queen Anne's Lace

After the welcome warmth of the sun yesterday, we plunged straight back into cloudy and very chilly weather today. 

I was actually quite glad of the need to wait in for a parcel, but did manage to join Smithers for a short constitutional later on this afternoon after the parcel had been delivered.

The Queen Anne’s lace was just beginning to flower beside our path, looking so pretty. What I didn’t notice, until I downloaded the photo, was that there are quite a few ants crawling all over it!
