Spring Colour

Church this morning, sewing and sitting in the garden this afternoon.

The birds of prey were crazy today. The last few weeks we saw a red kite when we go for our morning in walks. Today he was circling, coming quite close to the house. There was a group of 4 kestrels making a real racket; don't know whether the were fighting or partying. While we sat at the picnic table a sparrow hawk flew past right behind C a few centimetres from the ground and then went and sat on the bike shed roof.

None of the above put the tits, sparrows, robins, dunnocks and a one lone black bird off from visiting the feeders.
