That's the answer if you are wondering what this is. We came upon this mound as our survey continued through this pleasant coniferous woodland. It is man made and huge slabs of brickwork and concrete sit stacked like an untidy heap of biscuits. Whatever the origins it has been like this a long time. Wee saplings are growing out of the overlying moss and turf and even a couple of more mature plants have taken root.

A wee splash of sunshine came through the canopy as we arrived and it made me think it looked like huge steps leading to a chamber where you would stand and receive words of immense wisdom and guidance from some superior being before going back out to save the world or; finish the survey.
