El paseo
I know, this isn't exactly spectacular for blip 500 -- and it's backblipped too. Pathetic. But it's the best I've managed to come up with in the last two days, and the pressure to come up with something was getting to me. So I decided to get it over with and move on :) I will take a moment to thank all my subscribers and commenters, and apologise for totally failing to keep up with your journals and comments while I've been away.
This was that time of the evening when people are heading home from work, doing a bit of last-minute shopping, or just having a paseo, that Spanish custom of strolling, chatting with friends, pausing for a coffee or a vermut and a few tapas. I liked the backlit silhouettes and long shadows. The clouds of floating pollen -- not so much. It was a lovely day though, the first really hot one of the week.
For my 500th blip, I would like to wish that Blipfoto stays the same kind, friendly place it was when I joined. For Blipcentral, that means listening to and caring about the members, without whom Blipfoto would be of no value (and I'm not just talking about money). For blippers, it means being nice to each other, and not sneering at other people who don't happen to share your world view. I've never visited the forums much, but I've stopped altogether now because of the meanness of some contributions. If you don't like someone's journal, don't look at it -- spend your time looking at journals you do like. After all, one of the great things about Blipfoto is the variety.
