Today was the day for servicing the petrol lawnmower.  I didn't bother last year largely because, in the past, it has been reluctant to go after the service.  But I thought I'd better this year and I thought I'd do it before the grass grew too long in case the mower refused to go and I could go to plan B.  The strange thing was that the new filter and spark plug looked different from the ones to be replaced.  Strange.  Maybe I've got the wrong parts or maybe I got the wrong parts last time.  Anyway I went ahead with the replacement.  It fired up second go.  Strange.  And the grass was mown at a significant height so it's hardly noticeable.
I think that makes it the start of spring.
