Helping Hand
We had another beautiful spring day. There was a little drizzle off and on but that helped keep the sunburn at bay. My sister and I made a wonderful soup, chicken salad and potato salad. Our BIL smoked a pork roast to pull for BBQ. That will take care of several meals this week; more time for fun and Kindles. Several trees fell during a recent storm. One of the neighbors, the farmer who cuts the hay on this property, stopped by and offered to help hubby and our BIL get rid of the ash tree that had fallen on the lawn. Henry has the equipment that made this a quick job. Hubby can really only use one hand for lifting so he picked up the smaller branches. Our BIL helped cut up the tree and haul away the medium sized parts and Henry used his big equipment for the rest. They will probably tackle the tree behind the barn next and then the ones up on the higher hay fields. My BIL helps his neighbors when they have plumbing issues or just need extra hands. The rest of us lend a hand as well. But today, while the men were busy, Sugar and I were snuggling in the glider on the back deck, enjoying the view in the bottom right frame. Hope you had a peaceful day also. I am so thankful for all the hearts and stars lately. Really appreciate your visits. Stay safe. “True faith, a simple life, a helping hand- the three things prized most in Heaven.” ~ Frederick Buechner
