Springtime in Roding Valley Meadows
We spent a pleasant couple of hours walking in Roding Valley Meadows this morning, drinking in the beauty of the early spring day and exploring some of the lesser-trodden paths.
It was pretty wet and boggy underfoot, but all around us the birdsong filled the air with music and I felt the most amazing peace in my heart.
The woods were full of blackthorn blossom, wild cherry and catkins, and at our feet I spotted a small clump of primroses as well as a bank of lavender-coloured ground ivy with its bright green heart-shaped leaves. I had to create a collage today because I couldn’t pick one single photo to blip.
