Oceania

We are in Raiatea, French Polynesia, again today, before setting of across the South Pacific heading towards the Hawaiian islands. Four sea days ahead for us, which just emphasises how large the pacific is.

Polynesia is one of the three principal divisions of Oceania, comprising those island groups in the Pacific Ocean east of Melanesia and Micronesia and extending from the Hawaiian islands, south to New Zealand.

What strikes me about the Polynesians we have met is their kindness and all round friendliness. They are obviously doing something right in this part of the world …
