Wellies required

I didn't have the whole day to go geocaching as I had to wait for my car to get new shock absorbers . I headed out in the afternoon to find one that looked fun. I needed a torch and wellies and then to wade down a tunnel under Stankards shale bing. When the mine opened, a tunnel was made over the burn and the shale was dumped over the top. The pit closed in 1912 but the bing still stands today.
