Sheffield

Despite our regular visits to Sheffield we very rarely stray into the city.  We went in with the intention of visiting a new play area having lunch and then going to a film.  The day was very cold with a strong wind, but the kids didn't seem to notice as they whirled round the play area.  The adults huddled on a bench trying to keep warm.

Eventually, we prised them away from playing and walked off for lunch.  We deliberately hadn't taken cameras, so I was relying on my phone.  As we passed this art, sculpture, cage call it what you will I took a shot.

Later I discovered it is a memorial to those who died from Covid and the unsung workers of the pandemic.
