Fun filled day

Last Newnham park canicross race for this season. Dina was amazing I think she knew I was under par (having picked up a cold during the family Easter celebrations) she just kept a steady pace all the way around.
There were lots of other fun things going on for charity.
I entered the dog show in the best puppy (6-12 months) and the best yearling (12-24 months).
Keely got 4th, and Dina presented her self well, surprising me by walking to heal all the way around the ring, but she was a working spaniel up against some very beautiful young dogs.
I also entered the human scurry race. This is a 3 wheel rig normally pulled by a number of dogs, but on this occasion it was pulled by 2 humans. I was in a team with 2 lovely young people (girlfriend and boyfriend) who suggested I go on the rig. Gosh even with people pulling it made my mouth go dry. We won the first race, the second race was really exciting and we won again. We didn't think we had any chance in the final as we were up against 2 very tall men pulling the other rig, but the young lad pulling us just gave everything, his girlfriend just managed to stay on her feet and I managed not to run her over, steering away from her as the rig caught her up but not wanting to apply the brakes until we got over the finish line. We won.......it was amazingly exciting, perhaps in another life I can have a pack of dogs a rig and the vehicle I would need to transport them all around
