Sad tale.

This afternoon we found this little fur ball in the back garden. He/she seemed a bit out of sorts and made no attempt to scamper off. We gently placed him/her in a little box with some food and water to see if recovery might take place. I am sorry to advise that the wee thing passed away within the hour and has now been decently buried under the hedge. 
An otherwise uneventful day with some warm-ish sunshine.
