Neighbourhood Watch
When I got home from shopping I noticed the felt had blown off my elderly neighbours shed roof in the high winds. I'd bumped into them in town, so I've hung around by the back door taking birdy blips, watching out for them to come home. Sure enough there was D coming out with his ladders, 83,in torrential rain, about to start some repairs. I was straight out telling him off and told him to wait for me. So I've been round, put the felt back over and covered it in bricks to hold it down, we were joined by another neighbour coming to help, she's in her 70's! Honestly, I've really struggled to get it done in the wind and rain, I hate to think what might have happened. P was watching through her black eyes from wednesday and I've given them both another stern talking to, and I'm sure their son will too. Independence is important, but they'll only be able to maintain that if they're not taking unnecessary risks.
