These amazing canapés are not only hilarious but also very tasty.

From Jenny Hammerton and Silver Screen Suppers, they are designed to be eaten with a Gibson cocktail (that's a martini with pickled onion and is "as pure as the New York snow).

The nibbles consist of green grapes surrounded by Boursin soft cheese (let down with a tablespoonful of cream to make it easier to handle) a pinch of salt, then coated in crushed salted pistachio.

They have to be fridge cold then sliced in two with a hot knife before serving on cocktail sticks.

I'm eating mine with Gravelly Barn apple juice today, the Gibson will have to wait :-D
