Freshly picked...

... asparagus from our vegetable garden. It's not been a good asparagus year - too cold! This bunch will make asparagus risotto for supper :-)) I did read that it could be a bumper year for apples. The late spring has led to late and heavy flowering. Our apple trees are certainly laden with blossom. Providing we get some warmth and sunshine, that should translate into lots of apples...

I nearly blipped my bull again. His sore foot turned out to be the bull equivalent of in-growing toe nails. It's been treated and the farm manager put on a dressing to keep it clean. He used the strongest tape he could find to keep the dressing in place on the bull's hoof, which turned out to be black and yellow striped tape, normally used on railings so that the tractor drivers can see them and not back into them. The poor bull doesn't know why we think he looks funny :-))
