Playing peek a boo....

these birds don't make it easy for us taking their photos do they!  I ended up along the creek again this morning after an early lunch at a nearby cafe with my mum and dad, very nice it was too!, and this lovely wren made me scramble through a track off the beaten path to capture it in amongst the trees and bushes!

Very quiet on the creek again with just 2 avocets, some redshank and an egret battling the breeze at low tide, but lots of goldfinches around again so their population seems to be booming this year!
