Through the plane window

Christchurch airport at 5am this morning, and it's raining.

My first trip out of the country since before Covid - using up some of those credits from the flights that were cancelled during the pandemic.  Not come far, still too concerned about Covid, but really nice to get away and catch up with friends.

Thanks to D and P who picked me up at the airport and took me to visit L.  It was wonderful to catch up and to spend some time with L at the brand new school that she is the principal of.
