Black-tailed Godwit

I worked in the morning but then caught a bus to Birsday and walked to the hide on The Loons, an RSPB reserve. There has been a bittern there the last few days but, of course, I did not see it. This handsome godwit was feeding just in front of the hide. They breed on the marsh. A pair of little grebes were on a nest and lots of displaying by curlews and lapwings, also there- shoveler, gadwall, coots, moorhens, tufted ducks, teal, wigeon, etc. Another shot of the BTG in extras.
