Buddha And The Bride
We took advantage of the sunshine today and made another visit to Batsford Arboretum. One of those days when I got lots of images I was happy with, and I couldn't decide which one to use as the main blip.
I've gone for the Buddah framed through an ornamental tree, Prunus Incisa, The Bride. I'd decided that would be the shot of the day and had put my camera away. So then of course we saw our first orange tip of the year, and he even settled nicely on a daffodil for a portrait. The we came across loads of fritillaries - I was commenting on here a few days ago that I never see these, but there are masses of them in Batsford.
As usual we bought a couple of garden ornaments in the garden centre, a boy and a girl reading. They will surely be blipped one day. And blow me down, we found a Lazy Teddy ornament for one of mrsfb's friends. We've been looking for one for over a year since she said she rather liked ours. They'd just had a delivery and it hadn't even been priced yet.
In other news I finished reading A Suitable Boy at last so I can get back on course with my reading challenge with some normal length books. And the window cleaner came. And I've just put the bins out. It's been an eventful day :-)
