Spring!
This morning I caught the train over to visit my Dad - all is pretty much OK over there, and he liked the people who gave Princess her wash and brush-up. I had tried to get a photo of her but it was on my phone. It looks like a decent shot but Blip says it is too small! But then she is a very small dog!
I thought about going to look for a Blip after the first attempt to post failed but it was cold and I really wanted to relax with a coffee and my book, so I thought I'd wait, then go with Brian once he was home from work. And I did put my coat on and set off with him before deciding it was still too cold and I'd go home and Blip the new door-wreath instead! I stood outside in the passage that runs between us and next door - literally through the houses - to take this. I was virtually standing with my back to her door - sorry for the odd angle!
On the way home I had to walk through/round a street fight between some of our neighbours! It was a little like this a few years ago around here, but then it improved no end. Now it is as bad as it ever was! They tend to keep it among themselves fortunately! We have a Neighbourhood Watch sticker on the door, but it is years since there was anything like that around here too - apart from us and Doug opposite, no-one lives around here long enough!
Minstrel is spending a great deal of time in the kitchen, up on the work-top, listening to the walls. He thinks - and I'm inclined to agree - that we have rats again! Welcome to Victorian 21st century England!
