Shell
Well, that's an obvious title! This has travelled with me to Art for many weeks as I've tried to paint it in bright shades of pink and purple. There's no getting around it, the painting is awful and will never grace my wall! In fact I will probably paint over it... It's funny how some things just don't work! I did a painting of another shell which worked really well. I had hoped to have a pair to put on the wall, but it ain't gonna happen! I'm back to Art next Friday and am going to do a painting of an Australian gum tree - well, why not?!
Tesco have duly delivered this morning and the groceries are put away. I ordered some groceries for a friend from church as well who has no internet and hubby's dropping them round at the moment. She is coeliac and I scoured all the soups to try and find her some different ones to try that are gluten-free. It's such a nightmare when you can't eat wheat.
This afternoon I have a guy who cleans ovens coming round to - guess what? - clean my ovens! I was surprised that I had to wait two weeks to get an appointment, but a friend told me that her Mum has just had her oven cleaned by him and that it's all the latest rage!! Well, I always thought I followed the trends.... ;-) Through being ill and tired so much I have let the ovens get to the point where I can't clean them without half killing myself, so I thought I'd leave it to the pro!! Looking forward to seeing them clean and sparkling and with new lights fitted....
Paul (our son) had a nasty accident to his toenail this morning - it's weird how things happen sometimes. He was kindly kneeling down clearing up some mud and grass that he'd trodden in (with my dustpan and brush). Somehow he caught his toenail on the carpet and ripped it halfway back. It was obviously bleeding a lot and I had to bandage it up for him. I reckon that's going to be very painful once the bruising sets in...
