Just happened to look out of the window and see this ... such gorgeous French cars. They always make me think of the brilliant French film Diva. Whatever the problem was, it wasn't terminal because he drove off within a couple of minutes.

A bit of an oops today -- S had arranged for us to go to a talk by historian Ian Gibson in Granada this evening. He forwarded me the email with the details a couple of days ago, but I failed to understand that we had to book individually, so I needed to click on a link in the email. I only found out my mistake half an hour before we were due to leave when S said "Have you got your QR code?" What QR code? By then all the tickets were gone. So he went on his own.

And I am spending the evening keeping Mystère company. He's not very lively, in fact he's asleep 90% of the time, and refuses to leave the bedroom, but he's definitely on the mend ... slowly. He has been purring and head-bumping with me. I could have gone to the intercambio except I dozed off while sitting with him and missed the bus ... not my best day!

I've started reading Simon Gough's The White Goddess: An Encounter. It's about the time he spent with his great-uncle, Robert Graves, in Mallorca. Having been there last September, it's nice to be able to visualise the scenery. I'm a bit sorry we didn't visit Graves' house now.
