Book character day

Daughter #2 had to go to school dressed as a book character today. She'd spent ages last night making the hat (but didn't clear away the paints that she'd used !). She went as Dr Seuss. She was one of the finalist.
I wasn't feeling at all well today. I had to go to work in the afternoon. I had planned to drive to Wales after my meeting but when I came home to pick up all the bags I'd packed I decided that I would go in the morning instead. I was too tired to drive.
Daughter #1 went out for a curry with her friends.
