Back In Your Own Back Yard
This morning after the pool I came home and heard a Tui in the tree. It was very happy sipping the sugar water and gave me time to get my camera and lens organised. I stepped quietly out onto the deck and it didn't take flight. I was intrigued by the white feather tufts at the throat being parted like a bow-tie. I have not lightened the photo because it is dark under the branches and this beautiful bird stood out. The extra is when another one flew in silently and they shared the feeder briefly. It does look better large with the black surround.
