Alliums and grasses at the OU

Arriving at work today I parked in a different car park, and therefore wandered past these lovely displays. I also wandered past police officers and men in black suits carrying white umbrellas which was unusual.

I subsequently discovered that my usual car park was cordoned off and security tightened because HRH Pronce Andrew the Duke of York was visiting my building later.

He must get a strange idea of places. They closed off most of the downstairs and people whose desks were visible through the glass partitions were asked to tidy them up. Anybody he was likely to see was dressed on suits or smart dresses. I hardly recognised those of my colleagues who were presentable enough to be allowed to see him. I remained upstairs with the rest of the Scruffs :)
