It's a Dog's Life

Apollo has been lacking in exercise since we moved and it has corresponded with him loosing quite a bit of weight in the process, as he eats less when he's idle.

So took him out for what-was-going-to-be a long walk, but it was cut short because of the heat. I wasn't faring much better under the sweltering sun, but I was determined to get him walking again. As it's the Wet Season here now, which typically means lots of rain and thunder in the late afternoon.

In fact it's raining now as I type and Apollo is knocked out on the couch.

He was rightly cooked by the time we got back. And he plonked himself down onto the cool tiles, closeby the water (containing ice cubes). It took him a good while to even drink the water, he was so busy panting trying to get back any energy.

He's grand now. But with my schedule getting busier, I'm going to have be more determined to make sure he gets oot and aboot.

And later on I'll be dining with all the Clan Arriaga as we celebrate Sandra's mum's birthday. Feliz Cumpleaños.
