Catching up....

... with a few shots back-blipped from our trip to the Acropolis. The sheer scale was extraordinary, and the views over Athens were stunning. Sisi - our guide - also pointed out how the enormous columns had been constructed to withstand earthquakes: each cylindrical section is able to  move independently of the others, a little.  There's more information on all this here:
