Released from their box

These two China dogs were bought by my mother-in-law in the 1960s. In Hamilton, and in those days the dogs would have been most 'exotic'. S tells me that they sat on the mantel above the fireplace. At some time, m-i-l gave them to S and they sat in the old villa until it was sold and they have spent the nearly 20 years since then carefully wrapped and locked n a small box.

The place where they were when I took this photo is almost the right size, so they may stay there.
