Forsythia

This shrub was first brought over to Europe in 1784 from Japan.  It was common in Chinese and Japanese gardens.  It grows in rather an haphazard fashion in my garden and needs pruning back as much of the old wood is dying.

Baby sat the grandchildren this morning while K was out and T was muck spreading over the farm.
