Greening up!

Despite the cold weather there's been a significant difference in the colours of rural Aberdeenshire over the last couple of weeks, with a distinct greening up of the parks, or in some cases yellowing up if it's oilseed rape that's been sown.

It was a wild windy day today with some squally wintry showers interspersed with lots of sunshine. I risked the wind to take this shot from a layby near Oldmeldrum on my way home from work. I like the way one of the sheep is giving me the eye!
