Me day

The sound of the rain ‘pon mine bedroom skylight gave me cause to wake with a smile this morning.

In the absence of children and any other commitments or social engagements of any kind, today had been consciously set aside for the sole purpose of doing absolutely nothing. So, I was delighted that the weather had decided to play ball too in ensuring that I didn’t miss anything outside.

It’s been lovely. I’ve pottered about, completed another draft of the panto script, done a little more washing, found that I can still squeeze into a fifteen year-old tuxedo, actually read a book for a little while, had a bath for a bit (I never have baths, I’m a shower man) and watched yet another disappointing DC comic book movie in the form of the second outing for Shazam.

I’ve also eaten rubbish. It’s been brilliant.
