Saltos del Laja

Leaving Patagonia we take the fast moving motorway into central Chile. The landscape is still beautiful and there are side roads to take into the deciduous forests. We are at the Laja falls, along the river of the same name, some 30 kms north of a little town called Los Angeles. The sound of the falls is musical. 

From here we’ll be heading into the vineyards and wine country of Santa Cruz and the Cholchagua Valley, a compulsory stopover before facing the big city of Santiago.
