Arrival in Krakow

After a stupidly early flight (6.40am), we arrived in Krakow feeling like it was going to be a long day, given that we'd been up since 3.30am. The journey from the airport into the city was refreshingly quick and smooth thanks to the location of a train station directly accessible from the airport.  On arrival, we went for lunch and had a wander around the main square where an Easter market was in full swing (similar idea to a European Christmas market, but with bunnies and eggs instead). Afterwards, we went to our accommodation just off the main square (which is thankfully lovely). It has a little balcony with a seating area overlooking the street. I plan to spend some time out there (weather permitting) reading my book and watching the world go by. Tomorrow, we have a walking tour planned and we are very much looking forward to it.
