Hinoki Cypress

I have probably walked past this tree countless times but I have never noticed the colourful seeds.
I needed to use the app on my phone to help with identification … apart from recognising it as an evergreen conifer I knew nothing else.

The morning dawned clear and bright but by lunchtime it turned quite windy and chilly and anyone who was on the beach this afternoon had to keeping walking briskly.
