Wide Awake at 3.35am Local Time

An early start from Dads this morning with the taxi arriving at 5.45 to take us to Heathrow.

I haven’t flown from Heathrow in more than 20 years and I was pleasantly surprised with how easy and civilised it was getting through check in and security at terminal 2.

It was a long 10 hour flight to Houston with only so many films you can watch with rather uncomfortable airline issue headphones. We had a short transfer time but we got through all the checks at Houston with enough time to grab a drink and a snack before our final 3 hour flight to Costa Rica.

We were picked up and delivered to our hotel in San Jose tired and hungry at the equivalent of 4am UK time…I would say at least we’ll sleep well if it wasn’t for the fact that I am uploading this blip wide awake at 3.35am local time after 5 hours sleep!
