Age

This is a photo of age. The wall hasn't been kept properly but would be rather simple to repair. The technique is kalled "skiftesverk" in Swedish, I looked it up on Google and Wikipedia came up with an article called "post and plank", look at it if you're interested in the technique. There are quite a few buildings left on Öland, my island, and it was certainly in use until the early nineteen hundreds as a building technique. I love the look of these houses and are fascinated by both the beauty of the old planks and the construction.
