In other news as a one time political scientist I am following events in Scotland with great interest. I can but offer sympathy to my several Scottish blipper friends especially if they are SNP supporters.

I have tried very hard not to have a little gloat. But in recent years there has been too much secrecy and concentration of power. And on issues like ferries and drugs a certain degree of incompetence. But then one only has to look at other democracies to see that the effects of global warming and the internet are making good governance more difficult.
