Easter Eve

I counted around 500 geese flying over yesterday. A few flew within 20 feet over the balcony and I greeted them. Exciting stuff. How many flew over when I was indoors?  And in the evening robins were singing quite a lot. 

"Starlings used to sit there with bubbling throats
Making a spiky beard as they chattered
And whistled and kissed,  with heads in air,
Till they thought of something else that mattered."
